Choose the Right Outdoor Water Toy

Defined Tag:

With the dog days of summer comes the inevitable heat. For kids, the heat of summer can mean that outdoor play takes a backseat to air conditioning and shelter from the sun. One way, though, to get your kids out of the house and get them active is to get an outdoor water toy of some sort. Water cools and outdoor water toy models are cool for your kids to get a taste of the outdoors while fighting the heat. Here are a few of the more popular outdoor water toys you may want to consider.

Perhaps the most popular outdoor activity toy is that old standby, the water gun. Today, water guns come in a number of styles and levels of power. From the traditional “pump trigger” style to battery powered water rifles, to the superior backpack-fed pump guns that can shoot nearly 100 feet. You kids can have hours of fun.

Another popular outdoor water toy is the sprinkler attachment. This is a piece that will attach to your hose. Though there are many types, the main idea of all of them is that they will spray water in various forms up into the air. The children can run through the water, play games with it, and even make up their own games.

A third outdoor water toy is the plastic water slide. Whether you buy one or make one, the idea is that a piece of plastic is soaked by the hose and then the children can run and slide across it. With this outdoor water toy, the children will get soaked, cooled down, and will be active, even during those dog days of summer.

When the temperature jumps, there is no need for your kids to stop moving. With the right outdoor water toy or toys, your children will still be able to enjoy the great outdoors. However, they will be able to do it while staying cool and enjoying a little something different.
